Christian Education
Program
Study Opportunities for
Children and Youth
We are excited for a new year
at Holy Trinity!! Our curriculum is Cokesbury
curriculum which is approved for use in the
Christian education ministry by the United Methodist
Church. Our goal is to meet the needs of each
individual child. Here's a brief description
of what the children will be learning in their
classes for the fall.
Little Lambs
Teachers-Mrs. Ruthann Hatt-Henderson
The pre-school and Kindergarten children ages
3-5 will be using the curriculum Rock Solid.
Children learn in a variety of ways This curriculum
engages young hearts and minds with age appropriate
multisensory activities, crafts, stories, and
games, all designed to give children an opportunity
to know God through Jesus and experience life
changing transformation.
Kidz Club
Teacher-Mrs. Joelle Clarizia
The Kindergarten and First grade will also be
using the Rock Solid Curriculum designed for
their age group. What is really great about
this curriculum is that it includes a parent
take home page so that you can share together
what your child has learned in Sunday school.
Children will share their energy and enthusiasm
with fun, cooperative games, group activities,
and story telling.
All Stars for Jesus
Teacher-Mrs.JoAnn Pydynkowski
The second, third, and fourth grade will be
using the Bible Zone Curriculum. The kits are
designed to teach the lessons of the Bible at
a child’s level. Each lesson has a memory verse
that is repeated throughout the games, puzzles,
and interactive story time. In some lessons,
children will have a chance to role play characters
from the Bible. In almost every lesson there
will be opportunity to draw on their every day
experiences at home and in school to drive home
the point of the lessons being taught. Kids
learn to look up specific passages in the Bible
to solve puzzles. The games give children a
chance to work off some of their nervous energy
and learn at the same time. Bible zone makes
Sunday School a fun experience for this energetic
age group.
Bible Explorers
Teacher-Mr. Bob Parks and Mr. Dan Mahoney
The fifth and sixth grade class will be using
the curriculum Tweens in Transition. This class
uses a contemporary weekly magazine with a connection
to everyday living-using true, fictional, and
mission stories, role plays and situations for
discussions; plus activities for class interaction.
Spiritual Sidekicks
Teacher- Mr. Steve Loeper and Mr. Jay Morrison
The seventh and eighth grade class will be using
the curriculum Faith in Motion, which will help
this age group apply biblical truths to every
day life.
They will explore relevant life issues such
as peer pressure, and important faith issues
like, what does it mean to be a Christian? During
the second half of the year they will be partnering
with Rev. Susan to explore the confirmation
process and the teachings of John Wesley and
the United Methodist Church..
Senior Seekers
Teacher-Mrs. Chris Mahoney
The High School class will be using the curriculum
Synago and Faithweaver. Synago is the Greek
word for "come together." The goal
of these resources is to strengthen the member's
spiritual relationship with God and Jesus Christ.
The class will explore vital spiritual and real
life issues in a way that engages their hearts,
answers their questions, and changes their lives
forever.
This curriculum will help them to apply the
teachings of Christ to their own every day lives
in an environment where youth want to learn
about God's word and feel invited to learn in
a way that allows them to be honest with themselves,
with each other, and with God.
Nursery Care
is provided on Sundays during worship and study
hour. This Seedling Class is taught by our infant/toddler
teacher, Kristin Russo, and church family volunteers
as needed.
*Holy Communion is celebrated
in worship the first Sunday of the month. Children
attend Children's Church on this Sunday.
