Pastor:
Rev. Shinhyung Ahn
The Reverend Shin was appointed to Holy Trinity in July of 2024. His life and faith journey began in a pastor’s family. It was within his family that he grew up with the dream of becoming a pastor. All the memories and experiences he gained at his father’s churches were valuable resources for his current ministry. The memories of his childhood and youth are closely tied to church activities, such as summer camps, choir, prayer and praise nights, Bible study groups, and more.
It was in college that his intellectual and theological conversion began (1989: Yonsei University (B.A.) Major: German Language and Literature Minor: Education for Teaching License 2008: Andover Newton Theological School (M. Div.). During his freshman year, he started appreciating the beauty of diverse perspectives and interpretations of the Bible and Christian faith. While in college, he also took many classes in education, music, and theology. It was a time when God was equipping him with knowledge about church music, biblical languages, and Christian education for future ministry.
After graduating from college, he joined the army and served as a platoon leader for three and a half years. 1990-1993: Platoon Leader in the Republic of Korea Army 1994-2001: English Teacher at multiple Private Academies.
